The European Clean Trucking joins an open call with truck makers (Volvo, MAN and Scania) and green organisations across Europe (Transport & Environment, Natuur & Milieu, Forum Ökologisch-Soziale Marktwirtschaft, Fundacja Promocji Pojazdów Elektrycznych, Green Transition Denmark, Clean Air Action Group and Kyoto Club).
The signatories urge members of the European Parliament to support the reform of the Eurovignette Directive in the upcoming votes. The reform includes a proposal to vary truck tolls according to CO2 emissions which has received broad support across civil society and the corporate sector. It will provide the long-promised and urgently needed reform to enable the transition to zero emission freight vehicles.
